Does God have a body as we do and does He ever change?

Cima_da_Conegliano,_God_the_Father

No. God has no body at all. He is pure spirit, with intelligence and free will. When the Bible refers to “the hand of God” or other bodily attributes, this is merely a method of teaching about God so the people could understand. People are better able to understand God's mercy and justice by attributing it to Him certain physical characteristics.

Because he is perfect, God cannot change. If a thing is perfect, to add or subtract from the thing alters its perfection. This means that it would no longer be perfect. God is all-perfect and can add nothing to His perfection.
